Beauty In The Mundane

The pieces in this collection speak to the fact that we are surrounded by beauty if we are looking for it. To be more accurate, if we expect to find beauty, we will. Too often we think that only the extraordinary will be beautiful. Beauty in the Mundane is for everyone. All the pieces are from Jamaica and the places are accessible to all. If there were to be a subtext for this collection, it would be “Awareness”: most importantly, it's an awareness of the beauty of Jamaica in all its forms, and also that photography is a medium for the creation of art.
